Brian getting ready for a bike ride June 21

On Saturday I told Brian I would watch the kids if he wanted to go on a bike ride. He was getting his bike ready and I learned alot about bikes. # 1 he doesn't have peddles like a normal bike. He has special shoes that fit into a slot where normal peddles would be. He checks his air in the tires and oils the chain.
See the special shoes! He has biker pants and shirt. The shirt has pockets in the back instead of the front. That is where he carries his cell phone.
I will have to say he was sure a good sport of me taking his pictures!!
Off Off and Away!!
Brian and I sure had a fun time over my stay.
Oh yes I forgot to mention I was watching the kids as Carol, Allison and Rebecca went to Mexico for their sisters weekend.

My first attempt to put in a video.

I thought this was going to be really, really long as it took forever to load!!! I was surprised when it went so fast! The kdis sure got a big kick out of playing with Brian. He even had me laughing.

Fun in the backyard

Brian figured out how to add the slide to the pool. Summer has no fear and just went sailing down it. ben followed right after.
Soon as Summer went down Ben went and then he scurried ahead of her to get in another turn. She caugt on and the race was on. Brain and i had so much fun watching the kids play.
Summer was too slow for Ben but she held her own so he had to go around her. summer liked it when Brian ould growl at her. She would go up to where he was sitting and stand in front of him . He would let out abig growl and she would turn and run for the pool with Brian chasing her. She just giggled and giggled at him. He sure is cute with the kids.
Then Summer was done. But Ben stayed in the pool another hour.

Balboa Island June 20th

While Ben was in pre-school I took Summer to Balboa Island. I walked around the whole Island pushing her in a stroller. The homes are so pretty there and the flowers are beautiful. this is the sidewalk with a wall that goes around the whole Island. the sailboats were so refreshing to watch.
This picture sorta shows the water, sidewalk and homes. the homes are right next to the sidewalk and each home has a beautiful view of the ocean.

Back to Costa Mesa to watch grandkids June 19-21

These are Allison and Brian's kids, Ben is 4 and Summer will be 2 in September. I decided to take them to Huntington Beach. Notice summer with the notorious FROGS! They were so cute, she was working over her and Ben's frogs. Ben was so excited to go to the water he was doing a jig!
They gave me a run for my money. I had a hard time keeping track of who was in the water and who was running up and down from dry sand to wet sand! I told Summer don't let loose of the frog as the water will wash it away!

They had a great time on their tummies waiting for the waves to wash up to them.
She still has her frog and when I went up to her I again reminded her not to let it go. Well she looked up at me with a huge grin and dropped it in the water and I had to scurry fast to retrive it. She is a cute little tease.
It was time to go, my energy was low and they never tired, oh youth!! If you zoom in on this you will see how incredibly covered in sand I am. But we sure had a good time. In the tub they went when we got home. Even Brian that night noticed how exhausted I was. I decided 2 kids and 1 Mor Mor at the beach was more than I could handle. ha Oh yes and I never did get to sit and relax in the beach chair or sit under the shade of the umbrella, what was I thinking!

The Grandma's

Neal's sister Noni came to visit us with her 2 sons and a daughter in law and her grand baby. The kids all took off for Disneyland and the beach, so we were in charge of the baby for 3 days. Her name is Amanda, and she was so good and happy. We had fun spoiling her.

Father's Day June 08

Michael was here for his job. Kyle helped him refine a project for work.
Retrieving a Father's Day gift from the storage room. Mom, Carol, Allison, Rebecca, Steve, Emily and Michael gave Dad some nice gifts.
This is a book of pictures and commentary Michael put together on building the railroad in the back yard.

Babysitting while Allison and Brian went to napa Valley

Summer was so quick I went to get her breakfast and turned around and she was out of the high chair and on to the table!!!
After school I took the kids to their favorite bakery and had them eat at the park. Summer picked out a cookie and Ben a cupcake. He was so cute to share.
This park is called Moon Park and has fun things to do. They loved me pushing them on the tire swing.

Aren't they cute!
Mamma Dog
Ranch "Cow Hands"
Bill got a Pepper to plant in his yard in Memory of our mom, so we planted it and then all said something nice about mom. Very nice of Bill.

Siblings weekend at Bill's May 31-June 1 2008

Carolyn, Bill and I decided to keep up the tradition of getting together once a year for a weekend. We decided to go to Bill's horse ranch in Morongo Valley, CA . We had a great time. Bill and Cherie's dogs (Whippets) had 6 puppies. I couldn't get over how the mother dog stands to nurse. It looked like prairie dogs to me!! I think we all look like cow hands hanging around the fence. Then we went into Palm Springs and went to a "Copy Katz" show. We were told it was clean. The entertainment was really good.

Lone Pine Film History Museum June 2008

We had a great time at the Lone Pine Museum. We saw a movie all about the old Westerns and how and where they were made. Then we went to the Alabama Hills with a map and saw tons of places where 100's of movies were made. I am sitting at a rock that had a big cave in it and someone said there was a snake hence the look on my face.

St George visitor center and Temple

After Carol's graduation we stopped in St George on our way home. There was a special diplay of statues of Christ that were amazing. It was the 1st time we had gone to the "new" visitor center and it was really nice,
